I actively think about my social media use and after I've checked a few news and interest websites, it's time to put that down and pickup my guitar if I have a free 10 min. Practice a song, work on a chord change that's troubling me, just mindlessly noodle (though I try to do less of that).

The biggest sin of the AGF is the constant parade of new guitars enticing me to keep looking at purchases I don't need

Interesting - and valid - topic. I check AGF in the morning, typically by just surfing through the Today On AGF to see if there is anything I feel like commenting on. If I have a post I've subscribed to and get alerts for that or private messages, then I'll check that. If I'm doing a detailed review then I might spend more time but that is only on occasion.

After that I might check it once or twice a day for a few minutes if I'm having a down moment (I'm retired) but generally speaking we keep ourselves pretty busy. So that's about an hour-ish in the morning, maybe 1-2 hours a day, tops. We tend to practice or gig once a day for between 1-2 hours so I'm close to the 1-1 ratio.

Some days I'm on a lot as I like to read posts in the various sub forums too, especially when I'm having coffee in the morning. Other days I'll just check in and on other days I'm only on the forum in the morning and then later at night after I practice.

I'm usually on everyday unless I say something stupid to someone and then I feel like a jerk and I won't post for a couple days,
