Default Best D18 for Bluegrass flatpicking?

1937 Authentic - the late #1 MandoBro Stan Jay had one that my normally-jaded wife aptly described as "mind-blowing," and if that Louisville Slugger neck wasn't an issue I probably would've bought it before it found its way to his collection...

That's an amazing sounding guitar...especially for BG and at such a reasonable price! Holy Cow? Thanks for sharing and nice playing!

I was impressed with the Outlaw. Punchy and warm. Great looking.

Not my video, that’s the owner of Penny Lane music emporium, not sure of his name but he is an exceptional picker

I have a Martin D18 from 2013 that is a great bluegrasser . Too bad Martin discontinued the D18GE . I passed on that to get the D18 because the D18 was a tad more versatile than the GE in my opinion , but for straight up bluegrass the d18ge is tough to beat . Other makers may make a version that may be better built, but tonewise the GE stands out in my book. Cant go wrong with either though.
