Default SOLD Calton Case for 00/Concert Guitar

Got this one a few months ago here on AGF, in the hopes that I could get it to form around my OM guitar, but even though the OM fits and I can get the case buckled, it's just too tight a squeeze for my conscience.

Gorgeous case (really a looker, everyone compliments it) in fantastic condition, as you'll see from the photos. SOLD

Pics below, PM with any questions. No trades unless it's for a similar OM case. Thanks!

Default 00 case

What is the depth of the case? Is it designed for the depth of martin or Gibson 00 or Nick Lucas? Also, are you flexible on price? Lastly, I see it's Canadian Calton, is this from before they switched to lighter case? TIA, J

Hey sorry for just now seeing this. It's 4 1/4" deep. Not a lot of flexibility in the price, but I'll do my best not to be obstinate if you have an offer in the immediate ballpark.

Not sure about the history of Calton, but I'd be happy to weigh the case if needed. Thanks!

Just an FYI, this looks to be an Alberta Calton case, made in Al’s shop. This would be prior to all the issues experienced after Al retired. On the name tag the area code is for Alberta.

Luke--Thanks for info, I think it might be too tight for my Kopp NL. lower bout is 15" though depth would likely work. Looks like I'm back to having to get Hoffee Air, which would be able to handle both an OM or NL. thanks again.

Serial number suggests around 20 years old.

No need to worry about a tight fit, that’s what they are designed for. I’ve squeezed many guitars into very tight fitting Caltons over the years with no issues.

Sure thing!

Lower Bout: 15"
Upper Bout: 11"
Waist: 9"
Body Length: 19 1/8"
Body Depth: 4 1/4"

I should stress that my guitar DOES fit in this case, it's just the waist/depth are a little too tight a fit and it freaks me out. A guitar with identical dimensions that had a slightly slimmer waist would be an ideal fit, or maybe just a less neurotic guitar owner. Haha.

Thanks for posting the specs.
My Greta is 15 inch lower bout and the wait is much wider also.

Was this case made of a 00 14 fret Martin style guitar or a Gibson 00?
