Where would you go for this?
I recently got a Martin 000-18 that is stellar, but it's going back. I just can't do that thin neck. I had a 000-28ec that I loved for playability but didn't sound good. So I'm looking for a 000 with a mod v shaped neck and ec string spacing, but lighter braced than the ec. 1 3/4" nut is a must, although a little wider would be ok.
My options are Martin custom shop (I understand the pitfalls) or??? $3500 max, preferably a little less. I'm not aware of any off the shelf options. Thanks |

Yeah...it sounds like a 000-18GE might be just right. No longer in production but Reverb has them used.

I would suggest to go to a city that has large guitar stores. Nashville, New York, L.A.. try a bunch and buy one you have tried.
I know this drives the overall expense up but you will know what you are buying. You can use it as a vacation spot. Good luck. It may be cheaper than buying and selling. |

Did they reimagine the OM21 yet? I always thought that was the sleeper guitar in Martin's line, and I liked the understated look of it.
A used Huss and Dalton, Santa Cruz, or Bourgeoise might do it? |

Try this. 000-18's are great across the board. The GE's are no exception.

Get a Collings OM2H. You likely won't ever think about a Martin after that.
