Hi Sonics!

I appreciate your willingness to comment here -- it's very much appreciated! I'm really gratified to read your kind comments!

I realize you are pulling my leg a little... It's always a challenge to find a new song to do that people will be interested in watching. The truth is, I have no idea what people are interested in. My only choice is to find stuff I like and give it a try. Fortunately, this is just for fun. I don't have to make my living from this, there's no money involved at all. The stakes are pretty low.. So if a song works and a few people like it, that's rewarding. If they don't, well, I just move on to the next one.

Thanks again for taking the trouble to comment here!

- Glenn

I did a search for Lena Horne + Your Song and couldn't find anything on YouTube. Maybe it's not there. There is one called "A Song For You" but it's definitely a different song from "Your Song." I will keep my eyes open for this. Man, I haven't heard Lena Horne in a long time -- great voice and power.

Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment Frostie!

OK, full disclosure - I made that comment based on my memory of a recording I had not heard in, oh, 30 years. Like my memory, it has not aged well.

If you’re still curious, it begins at 14:12 into this video:

Hi Frostie!

Well cool! You found it for me! That was cool to hear her take on this great old song! Man, what a voice she had!

Thank you for that!

What a treat! Thank you Glenn for the mesmerising rendition!

Haven't heard the song for many years, and couldn't believe it's been around 50 years or even more.

Your insight on transcribing the piano accompaniment to guitar is intriguing. I then realised that perhaps the Ave Maria is the perfect instrument for the task with its clean, articulate and yet full tone!

And then there is that background of natural beauty!

Your videos are really well made and enjoyable!
