Default The New Smell

I think this may have been addressed before but I cannot find the thread.

When does the "new" smell of a McPherson Sable, go away? It has been strong out of the box.

From my understanding, leaving it out of the case for a couple of weeks should tame the scent.

Mine has been out of the case for a few months. Still smells “new”.

Maybe it just doesn't go away. I found it to be nauseating on a Touring.

It goes away, I just don’t remember how long it took. Worth the wait though and it’s nice to leave a guitar out and accessible
