Default Do you wear suspenders?

Yea, or Nay?
I have gotten so used to wearing sweats and PJ bottoms.
Now I notice that regular jeans and pants keep falling down.
Like I got no butt but somewhat of a beer gut.
Not sure how this happened.
Tightening of belt is not much help.

???? suspenders ?

Here in the UK suspenders are female items for keeping their stockings up.

Perhaps you mean braces - those over the shoulder straps that clip or button on to trousers ?

... and in either case - the answer is no.

Suspenders, braces - we use both terms down here and I've got to admit I can see a use for them as I share the 'no butt beer gut' shape myself.

Not yet. Though I have bought a belt that adjusts to any size rather than having predetermined holes. It seems I wanted an in between point to have my belt tightened.

Last time I bought a belt I asked for one quite a few inches bigger than my waist size.
Seller asked, "why do you want one that big?"
I replied, "So when people say 'look at that fat guy' their partner can say 'but look how much weight he must have lost'".

True story ... made the couple standing nearby laugh.

I do not, as of yet, but I have been seriously considering them.
Suspenders would provide much needed support of anything suspended by my belt.

Men do sometimes wear 'English' suspenders; a friend of mine once went with his wife to a fancy dress party and dressed in their Rocky Horror Show gear. When they got there they realised they had somehow got their wires crossed. It was a fancy dress party.......................... for a child's birthday.

Ah, Monty Python. How I miss thee.

But to answer the OP’s question, I own a couple pair of suspenders/braces but haven’t worn them in the last ten years or so.

Cheers,

Dirk

My Patagonia ski pants have suspenders. They work well.

It's no fun having your pants fall down while blasting down a ski run.
