I like my Katana, but I think I'd rather have the Nextone
I bought a Katana 100 mark 1 almost two years ago and we've played out with it perhaps 10 times. Most of the time we send the FOH the line-out, and it works well.
But now that I'm playing it at home, it ends up being a one trick pony. Here's why... I play clean and maybe just the slightest grit from the gain, so all the other amp models are pretty high gain sorts of stuff and I never use them. I've been looking into the Nextone 40 and it really has four different cleans (6V6, 6L6, EL84 and EL34), and seems laid out in such a way that I'd really never need to dig into the computer side. Anyone want to talk me out of this?

Not talking into or out of anything, but maybe want to throw a Roland Blues Cube 30 into the mix? It's a very nice sounding SS amp, but only reverb in terms of effects. It is similar to the Nextone in terms of layout.

The Nextone, Blues Cube Hot, Fender Tonemaster and Quilter amps are the stars of the SS amp world. Played through a Katana - nope. Not for me.
Hope you enjoy your Nextone. Let us know what you think when you get it.

Play one of these and it'll do all the talking you need to hear - A/B it side-by-side against the Nextone, and I think you'll see what I mean: https://www.bugera-amps.com/product....odelCode=P0B03
