For Sale: Year 2000 Martin D-41

This guitar has one of the most beautiful tones I have ever heard from a Martin dreadnaught. While I am mostly a 12 fret guitar enthusiast this 14 fret to the body had a thunderous lower end with a crystalline high end with presence and sustain.

Please review the photos carefully. I managed to capture a ding on the top in the bright light (not through the finish). There is also a small crack in side of the lower bout of the guitar. It is small and runs with the grain. I showed my luthier and he said it is benign, no need to fix (I have reduced the asking price by $300 for a repair). There is a little degrading of the binding at the bottom of the guitar but no separation (also clearly pictured). Photos are here,

With that out of the way this guitar is about the playability and the SOUND. A 20 year guitar has the benefit of 20 years of wood seasoning and quality available then (the serial number of this guitar is almost 1,000,000 lower that the last Martin guitar I sold here, the buyer offered to be a reference if requested) and not so old to be fragile. You will love this guitar with both your hands and ears.
