Default Great acoustic blues lesson from Rev. Robert Jones

I found this guy from his history of the blues discussions.

This isn't a "How to Play this Song" lesson. This is a "How to Play a Thousand Songs" kind of lesson. Even if you are experienced in this style, you will probably learn something, if nothing else from a playing approach or philosophy direction . I am, and I did.

Excellent video, both content and production. Being able to clearly see what both hands are doing is very instructive. If you know, what is the tuning he uses. Thanks for posting

Rev. Robert is a great player and singer. I've taken some of his workshops at Augusta Blues Week, and a few years ago set up a program by him at the college where I work - he did a great job.

Never done a workshop/masterclass thing. I'm in driving range of the Port Townsend Blues Festival. Silly I've never gone. Of course hating crowds has something to do with it. Supposedly it's still on for August this year...

I've gone to Augusta about 20 times. No live workshops this year (or last), so I hope they're on next year.

I don't care for crowds either, but I tolerate them for the sake of going to summer camp for adults (no canoe races, but there is beer).

It’s online this year, so maybe that’s a way to ease into it. Reverend Jones was at the last one.

I have seen the Reverend preform a number of times, He is a great musician, historian, and entertainer.
