So are any bundles you would recommend? I know i need monitors, and found some JBL 104s for $70
A Motu interface? Or ?

I'm gonna be exceptionally un-fun in that regard. I'd ask Santa for bundles of Owens Corning 703.

Yep...me too. Next to the player, the room of course is virtually everything especially for acoustic guitar. The secondary aspect of "the room" (at least for me) is the ease of which I can settle in, get situated and comfortably record a take. That's fairly easy if I'm using soft synths and monitoring with ref monitors but becomes exponentially more difficult when using mics, mic cables, headphones and a movable target like an acoustic guitar.

Things like how accessible the transport controls are is of utmost importance. How comfortable the chair is is important in staying still. Also how untangle and stress free the headphone and mic cable runs are becomes vital. The more I'm forced to sit, stand and sit again or I trip and bang into things, knock over and into stuff, the less engaged I become in actually playing.

Well the only reason i thought of a bundle was that its designed to work together
But all i really need is an interface and monitors
So im thinking of getting a Motu usb audio interface or something rated good and the JBL 104s for $70 i found
I guess a bundle is an over kill since i have most of the except for what i listed above

Farmer? He's the guy behind the hedges lustily eyeing your tractor.

I am just swinging through to say that I am glad I listened to my parents about room treatment. Brent and Jim make such a lovely couple.

Ordered: A Focusrite 2i2 3rd gen comes with free headphones and the
JBL 104's

I'm looking at the Blue Ember condenser mic not that I need it but it's probably better than the MXL V250 I have

While the Focusrite probably has somewhat cleaner mic pre's and conversion than the Zoom . What would make you think the Blue would be "better' than the MXL ?

You can find a few cases where gear may be bundled because the components were designed to work together to some degree, but most of the time that's not the case. The Focusrite 2i2 and JBL 104 monitors that you just ordered were not designed with the other piece in mind. It's simply a bundle to provide you with a little bit of savings to entice you to buy both items.

Sonetimes it's like those three-packs of socks. To get the blue and the black you have to take the pink.

Just some of the reviews, but i went back over the reviews this morning and it looks like the Blue has handle noise problem, and popping noise, so im sticking with what i have for now build the budget back up and buy a lot better mic
