How very sad. Prayers for a wonderful musician from this corner of the frozen north.

Get well soon, hopefully.
He’s always been a monster player and a real inspiration.

I am sorry about all this; it's all very sobering. I hope the damage to his vocal cords is not permanent. And I wish Lindsey well on his recovery from open heart surgery.

You never know what's around the corner.

Very unfortunate. Hope Lindsey is able to return to his usual fine form. Hmmm, damage to his vocal cords seems so unrelated to his heart issue. It causes me to wonder if it’s the result of tubes that were likely inserted down his throat.

I felt like I was really a guitar player when I could handle his "Never Goin' Back Again."

Get well soon.

Looks like EMS might have put in a trachea tube when the emergency happened.

Might have, but as someone who has not only gone through this myself this but also is a retired anesthetist, I can tell you he had a large bore endotracheal tube in place for many hours. This can affect the voice; it did mine but resolves over time unless there is some as yet undisclosed nerve damage.

Hope he makes a complete recovery. Always a fan because we share an October 3 birthday.

Hoping for full recovery
BUT I am confused by what looks like bruising and swelling on the left side of his neck . Given the intravenous sight is on the right side of his neck Hopefully it is just bruising and will abate with no permanent nerve issues

Lindsey is doing well after surgery. That's my take away. He's a great guy and more than anything else, he's a father, husband... which are far more valuable to him than the job/work he's done. He will likely be fine now that his heart surgery is over and whether he ever sings again, healthy and around for his family is more important to me. Rest up Lindsey.
