Default Taylor 324ce or 326ce for sale?

Hey guys! I've been on the hunt for Taylor's Fall limited Koas that came out a few years ago. Anyone know of anyone selling one or where I should look? I've pretty much looked everywhere I could on the internet. Thank you for any help!

You may want to move this to the For Sale section as a Wanted To Buy post... I've seen the 2014 fall ltd on ebay from time to time. Heres an older version of the all koa 324ce on ebay now:

I don't believe many were produced. I snatched up one immediately after Sweetwater got their shipment in. I think they may have gotten five or six 326ce models and they didn't last long. I don't think I saw to many dealers have them. For what its worth, I now have a standard 324 and to my ear at least, I think mahogany sounds better. I've always thought the non-cutaways sounded better though so that may be the difference.

Good luck. They were tough to find when they were new. I wanted a 324 and ordered it from GC. Local Sam Ash had a 326ce in stock and it was great, but I was more interested in the 324 shape. After a few weeks, I called GC to ask when it would be shipped. After a run-around, I was told they didn't have any and couldn't locate one. I went ahead and got the 326 from Sam Ash. Then the local GC manager called to say they finally managed to track one down. They got it in, and I brought in my 326 to do an A/B comparison. I decided to keep the 326. It sounded better to me. I was told the 324 sold a day later.

I'm now in the market to get a mahogany 324. Not interested in the ce model though, just a plain 324.

I hope someone grabs that up. It is a fantastic sounding guitar. I already have two mid to high end Grand Auditorium Taylors, or I would pull the trigger. Folks are right--it was a limited production, and from what I understand, Taylor has no intention of making any more of them. It is a great way to get into an all solid wood Koa Taylor at an attractive price.

Every time I even think of selling my 324ce I play it & that ends all thoughts of parting with it...

Thanks again Matt!

Just to add my two cents

I had similar issues as indicated by poster rzt
I pre ordered…they took too many orders…and they didn’t follow up to tell everyone on the list that their weren’t enough to go around. Long story short, I got the 326ce-k (but I had ordered the 324ce-k)

I would disagree with what poster dr461 said. Taylor will make these sort of limited every few years to get rid of abundant koa in their inventory (this was implied to me during a Taylor Factory tour). Most people who buy koa are after the striking wood appearance, unfortunately you get what you get from a tree and the assumption that the whole tree would yield exotic looking wood is not entirely correct for koa. So while this batch is limited…you may see another varied offering in another few years. Of course the other argument against this is the "new" gs mini koa line is now being used to buffer their koa inventory...then...you may not see much limited koas in the future.

As far as getting one, a poster had indicated a few weeks back that he saw one at a pawn shop post one for 900 (not sure if he got it)? And I have seen a couple on ebay for around 1500 and 2100 (yes – this is higher than retail)(both of which sold) within the last three months. They aren’t too rare…but just understand you may not pay the conventional 50% off new since these guitars are actively sought after.

Except for the 324ce K-FLTD I'm playing right now, as far as I know, they're rare as hen's teeth. I had to move fast on this one when it showed-up at my local GC. I test played for 5 minutes and bought it on the spot.

This thing is special...
