Default Sega Guitars Phönix definitively the verylast soundfile at the end

hi folks,

after missing the holy grail guitar show in Berlin last year I decided -instead of having contact to the luthier at the show- to begin a new buildingstory with Sergiusz Stańczuk from http://segaguitars.com in Poland.
Knowing that it has always some surprise if you have never played a guitar from the luthier I will trust in the soundfiles, I heard and in the friendly and emphatic conversation, we had before.
We decided to have an unbelievable exotic ebony for back and sides.

The soundboard will be spruce or redwood, and the motto will be Phönix, but about that perhaps later.

all the best

Beautiful. Some wood is so pretty that you hate to see it cut down to guitar shape!

Congratulations on the build. I visited his website and while I can't read a word of it, the images look great!

Looking forward to more posts.

I was very interested in his work also, and considered a commission before looking more locally. I agree, the sound files available are very enticing, and when I had a brief chat with Sergiusz, he seemed pretty cool. One to watch...I'll be super intrigued to see how this build turns out. Beautiful choice of ebony!

Default Sega Phönix

Hi folks,

after all these restrictions, control and slowdown of life caused by corona, I thought the reincarnation which is associated with a Phönix could be a hopeful design for a soundport of a guitar, made in these times.

So after the first sketches I'm looking forward, what Sergiusz can do with these ideas.

Default step by step

hi folks,

it seems that the building procedure really proceeds. I'm happy to present the back, the soundboard with bracing and the rosette made from the backwood. We decided to place the soundport as the most important eyecatcher and the one and unique feature of art and to design the guitar otherwise rather artless, except of that -I hope so and my ears are looking forward - breathtaking wonderful voice.

Default the soundbox

hi folks,
it seems that the procedure is going on and the soundbox is closed, to me a wonderful experience of harmony between the wild ebony grain and a wonderful redwood..
Really looking forward to the next steps.

Thanks for the updates. Looking very good so far. Think it's always exciting when they start looking like guitars!

Default soundbox

hi folks,

it seems that we are going in great steps to the end.
The soundbox is closed and the neck is ready, so I'm looking forward to the soundport which seems to become a wonderful kind of art.

Default phönix

Hi folks,
it seems that the phönix gets a shape. That's still not the end but an inspiring concept and I hope that Sergiusz will convert it in a wonderful soundport.
Still looking forward to the finish and sure to the voice of that wonderful jumbo.

It's going to be fantastic to look down at that phoenix each time you play. Great idea for a sound port!

Default phöinix

Hi folks,

step by step it comes together. The phönix has been put in the side and is waiting for the varnish or perhaps for rising up?
