Default String Tree Eliminator Experiment

An experiment. The project is on a back burner. I will post this to try and drum up some motivation to get back to work.

He's reusing the piece he cut off, on an angle, to create a back bend to the headstock, which Fender guitars do not normally have. By doing that the strings are forced to press tighter against the nut slots, thus negating the need for string trees, or tees, or whatever they're called.

Judging by the decal he's not experimenting with something expensive. Ultimately it will be a Fender flavored Gibson Trini Lopez Custom wannabe.....

Leo Fender designed the guitars to be cut from flat stock so that there were less machining steps.

Regards,
Howard Emerson

Interesting. I have a Yamaha Pacifica 1230S that has a six-inline headstock tilted back. Works well without string trees…
