Default On the Billboard Music Awards Tonight

My nephew Paul, music director, utility sideman on keys, guitar, mandolin, bari sax and bassist for Elle King’s band, The Brethren, will be performing with King and Miranda Lambert on tonight’s show. When not traveling the world Paul owns and operates two recording studios in Nashville. On the road more time than not he still managed to get his degree from NYU in entertainment management. Break a leg tonight Paulie!

I gotta tell ya boys, Paulie’s been on the road, traveling the world as a hired gun since he was seventeen years old and I still get a giant thrill for him whenever I get to see him working on stage!

Default On the Billboard Music Awards Tonight

Well, Paulie was relegated to the dark side of the stage last night so I couldn’t see him playing.
But he said “Uncle Frankie, I was flown out by two retired Naval Aviators yesterday morning. An F/A18 fighter pilot and a C7/Globemaster pilot!”
Always a silver lining!

And if I were getting shuttled around the USA, I would certainly want some badass fighter pilot flying me, that’s for sure!

The pilots told Paul the CitationX cruise speed is just under mach1(right around 660mph) WooHoo, let’s boogie!

And that JollyRodger painted F/A-18 is what the pilot on the left used to fly for the Navy! Wow. Just looking at the Skull&Crossbones on the tail, I would surrender then and there. Talk about an omen.
