Wow is right! I keep coming back to look at it and dreaming. I am in the unfortunate spot of having to sell my guitars to pay some medical bills right now for my son or I would be all over purchasing this beauty!

Looks great! Someone will be in awe!

GLWS!!

Zach

Wow for major eye candy! Curious what are the general characteristics of that alpine spruce soundboard?

The moonspruce which Taylor had at this time plays like a cross between Engelmann and Adirondack. It is the real stuff. Very responsive to light touch but not a top that can be overdriven.

Hope that helps as a general description.

Oh and here is the website to the supplier R. Taylor used.

Many thanks wooglins!

Thanks for sharing that info - you beat me to the description. The alpine spruce history / legend that goes along with it (harvesting history) is a really neat aspect of the wood too (at least fun to learn about).

Thanks again for chiming in....

Default UPDATED PHOTOS in ORIGINAL POST (as of 5/22/18)

So....

I got my hands on a "real" camera this weekend. Hopefully the pic's are better than the original iPhone photos I posted in the OP.

The updated photos are included at the bottom of the post, and I kept the originals in there too.

Thanks for looking....
