Thank-You Randy for a 'Better than advertised' guitar,...this Fender EC Stratocaster is in 'As New' condition, and weighs in like the majority of these, @ 7.4 lb.'s,...
… I was born in '57, and while this model is called the 'Eric Clapton' model (because of the electronic upgrades),...these are basically '57 reissues with Clapton's desired electronics (he used to use Gold Lace Sensors, and when he started using Gold Noiseless, Fender followed suite the following year). … again, Thanks and I am sure we'll be doing business again. WOW DavidE, I've never seen any of this model come in at anything over 7.8 pounds, and that was rare and more so when they had the Gold Lace Sensors pups in the model,… (most didn't realize that a lot of late '80s/early '90s Fenders were made with Poplar instead of Alder,...thus a little weighty),...
… and of course I'm prejudice on anything that relates to 1957, be it 'real' or reissued (a great birth year,...if you have the $$$ for anything made in that year...even better, LOL). Tom |
