Default Tech 21 Acoustic Fly Rig experiences?

Anyone use this yet? Opinions/thoughts?

I've been gigging with one for the last 4 months and like it. No programming. Everything has a knob. Very light and small.

I decided to use the switchable compression instead of the boost and I disabled the boost in a fairly crude way... It is so small that it was hard to hit the compression and not hit the boost too.

For the most part, I liked it. I really wish they gave you the option of having both chorus and delay on at the same time. But I had to return it as there was a loud pop noise through the amplifier (tried a few) when engaging and disengaging the tuner. Others have had this issue as well

I had mine switched because of the pop and the replacement also had it and yes the boost is weird. Disappointing.

I have not noticed any noise when switching on the tuner, but I play in restaurants where it is probably too noisy to hear a minor pop.

I looked at this and it looked interesting.
But after hearing about the pop i guess i'll pass.
Not sure why in this day and age these units
can't have silent swtching . I had issues like
this with another peice of popular agf gear ..
sold it..

It may not be an issue at gig levels but it’s annoying at home levels and I don’t see why it should do it at all.

John, what are you using for the dot markers? That's a smart way to do it. The sharpie marks are hard to see in the dark.

The replacement also had the pop? Did you return it?

No I didn’t because Tech21 said they would repair it. But I haven’t sent it in.

1/8" Solid (not translucent -- they are not as visible) yellow Mark-It Dots. Not as sticky as scotch tape so they won't take too much abuse (not good for side fret markers on a neck) but they don't leave any residue when you remove them.

Thanks for the replies! Maybe I'll try it out at my local shop and see if it pops too. Too bad, seemed like they had something great.
