Default "Tommy Emmanuel - Bella Soave" Cover

My attempt at Bella Soave. I will appreciate any advice or critique. Thank you.

Bella Soave (mp3, 192kbps, 3.3 MB)

Tommy plays it with plectrum, capo on 1st fret. I play it with thumb pick and bare fingers, no capo used.

Hi Fingerstyle Jan...
While I'm listening to your nice arrangement, it seems more important to say ''HI'' so Hello and welcome to the forum.

We are glad you joined. I'm also glad you posted the song...you do a nice job on it...

Fingerstyle Jan,

Welcome to the forum. Your recording sounds great to me! Very nice playing and wonderful tone. Thanks for sharing it.

What kind of guitar are you playing in the recording?

Welcome Jan!

very nicely done =) Playing was very very fine!! =)

Just curious if you recorded by plugging in and recording thru the pickups on the 214?

I'd think it'd sound way more lively if you recorded with a mic! Don't waste such precious playing by using an ES-T pickup!
but it's lovely anyhow!!

On a side note, i loved prague when i went there 2 years ago! Very nice! Beautiful place in winter =)

Thanks a lot! You are right, the sound comes from 214's pickup. My "recording studio" is now in an embryonic stage. I plug my Taylor in Korg processor to amplify the tone, convert it from mono to stereo and add a little bit of reverb. Korg is connected to my laptop.
I will definitely need a mic. Could you recommend me one? I am beginner about recording, so I don't know. I could spent - let's say - about $150. Is it possible to get an usable mic for that price? Or should I save up and spent more? I would like to record my guitar only, no singing etc. (I can't sing )
Thanks a lot for your help.

Prague is nice city for all the year round Good place to visit, good place to live.
