Default A few pics of my australian blackwood Hamblin GC

I thought I'd post a few pics of my fiemme Italian Spruce/Australian Blackwood GC. No whiz-bang features on this one... no cutaway, bevel, port, wedge. Just a pure acoustic guitar. It's actually pretty hard to take pictures that do justice to this wood, but this was the best I could do. It's quite the beauty IMO.

If you are as modest about your playing as you are about your pictures, I would love to hear you play your new work of art

Oh, my playing deserves more modesty than I can muster! A hack like me has no right to such fine guitars, but they sure are fun.

Gorgeous git Jason. Fiemme is some of the finest Euro spruce that I have worked with. What is the binding material? Bloodwood perhaps?

It's actually bubinga with koa purfling. Hard to tell in the full shots. Here's a close-up of the binding.

One of the best builders I have come across for my personal tastes. I own two and would LOVE a third. Congrats on an absolutely GORGEOUS guitar

In terms of aesthetics, it doesn't really need them does it? I really like the features you mention, but there's something especially alluring about an understated, beautifully made instrument which doesn't feel the need to shout "look at me!", comfortable in the knowledge that everyone will anyway!
