Default Alternative to TRIC Case

I have Godin TRIC polyfoam case for my dreadnought that I take to gigs. It's light and strong, but the covering material is cheap, the storage pocket stinks, and the handle is poor. Please recommend an alternative high quality light weight poly foam case for a Martin Dreadnought.

Thanks!

This lightweight Polyfoam dreadnaught case from Guild is available; you'd need to call Sweetwater rep and make sure a Martin will fit it.

The Gator Transit series are also very nice:

Thank you! I'll check those out. Evidently, Gator made a case version of the Transit bag. I'll check that out too.

I have both a TRIC case and a Guild Polyfoam case. If you don't like the TRIC, you won't like the Guild any better. I would say the quality is lower on the Guild, and there is zero pocket on it whatsoever.

I'm talking about the latest generation TRIC case, so if you have one of the older ones, might be worth upgrading to that rather than the Guild case.

I've been using the Gator Transit case for over a year now and I really like it. The best parts is lots of pockets for cables, iPad, extra strings, capos, etc.

Would you be kind enough to post a picture of the pockets? I think that’s the one I am looking for.

Just wondering, do you have one of the earlier models with crappy lining and kind of a molded handle? If so the current models are much better. I have one I use for my 00s and have none of the problems you mention. I also have a Gator polyfoam case for my Guild D55, I’m not sure the interior pocket is much bigger than the Godin TRIC. I think the foam material in the TRIC and know the seal is better than the Gator, but the Gator is an older case.

Indeed. Thanks for the tip.

Sweetwater has some great pics of the case on their site.
