NGD: Fender Stratocaster
2019 Fender Hybrid '50s Stratocaster FSR Sherwood Green w/ USA Pickups, to be exact. Made in Japan. Alder body (7 lb. 15 oz.), one piece maple neck ("V" profile), Fender USA black bobbin USA 57/62 pickups, large (6105 size) fretwire, Gotoh Magnum Lock Top locking tuners, and a metallic Sherwood Green that just doesn't come across well on the quick phone photos I took (reference pic at the end).

She’s a beauty!
How are you liking those 57/62 pickups? What amp are you playing that through? Are the knobs and covers white, crème or vintage crème? Lots of questions…

Was this the same guitar that was on REVERB.com last week?

I like that one, great look. And the specs are awesome, although for me any sort of V to the neck is a no-go. Sherwood Green is now on my "great colors for Fenders" list.

Yes, most likely. If you're looking for it now, and it's gone, you'll know where it went.

@rokdog49 asked about the amp. I have several, mostly small living-room sized modeling amps. Close at hand are a Line6 AMPLIFi 30, which I've already tried, a Spark MINI sitting on my coffee table, and a Fender Champion 40. Believe it or not, I get all the sound and effects I want through the Line6 and Spark. Those are surprising little amps!

I've generally ended up with neck shapes more C than U but don't mind a bit of shoulder. But that ridge along the back of a V falls right where my default thumb position needs to rest and I'll end up doing weird hand contortions. I definitely am a maple, not rosewood, lover. These one-piece necks like Fender uses always seem an ideal design to me. Getting a look at the wiring under the guard takes a LOT of the worry out of a used Tele or Strat. Otherwise you can never 100% trust that someone hadn't in there with a soldering iron who didn't know what they were doing!

That is a great looking Strat! Love the Sherwood Green. And there's plenty to like about the MIJ Strats and Teles. Big congrats!
