Default New forum sponsor - Lowry Guitars

Hello everyone. Drew Lowry here, of Lowry Guitars in France.

I'm Irish by birth, and have lived/worked in various countries, including the UK, the USA (Boston Mass), and seem to have finally settled here in northern France.

I've been building custom guitars professionally since 2014, initially part-time, and now full-time since 2018. I build steel-string acoustics, both as direct custom orders and for various dealers worldwide.

By way of introduction, here are a few photos and videos of my work. Thanks for looking, and I look forward to participating in the forum!

Default all around great guitar

Well, that's a great looking instrument all around. The styling and woods etc.
Having your guitars played by a very talented musician lets the finer tone points be displayed...NICE

Beautiful sounding guitars. I don't much care what a guitar looks like but that aspect is nice too,

Welcome to the forum and thank you for your Sponsorship.

Your guitars look and sound amazing! I could not pick a favorite, both great, but really different. I think the similarity is the balance across the strings, amazing, trebles, mids, and bass all present together and none over-powering the other.

Having my friend Carl play them, is not a bad idea either! Bonjour.

Thanks to all for the kind welcome! For those who may be interested, I currently make 2 models, both named after landmarks in my native Northern Ireland.

The Carrick (photo below) is a mid-sized guitar, 15" lower bout, 14 frets to the body, and is often requested in cutaway format.

The Braid (photo below) is a smaller-bodied guitar, 14 3/8" lower bout, and is built as standard with 13-frets to the body and a shorter scalelength, although these are customisable.

I have a couple of guitars currently on the bench, I'll try to get at least one build thread going, and maybe a few shots of the workshop.
