Two things come to mind. I'm terrible at sleeping for 60+ years. Only losing an hour would be great! I've had several trips between CST and EST in the past few months and even without that I mostly manage my life around seasons changing more than clocks changing.
Daylight Savings is a big deal for those of us who get an hour more of useful and important time in the evening.

Having spent formative years on subs in the USN, and working rotating 12 hour shifts for most of my working life, I've developed the ability to sleep anywhere, anytime, under any conditions. Bolt upright in economy class? Passenger in a compact car? On a couch? Hard theater chair? Just a 10 minute nap between activities? Doesn't matter. I sleep like only a conscience-free axe murderer or content baby can.
Set the clock ahead one hour once a year on Sunday morning? Please spare me. You gotta do better than that to make me lose any sleep. |

I know. The hand-wringing over DST amazes me. If someone stays up late to watch something on the tube and misses an hour of sleep, it’s just ho-hum, so what, it’s only an hour. I’ll be over it by noon. But when it’s mandated by the powers that be, suddenly it’s a huge, quality-of-life issue, and how dare they? I’ve been doing it my whole life and it only effects me for a couple of hours on the first morning.

I'm sure for people who have to work on Sundays, the spring clock change stinks.

Actually, science does seem to be on the side of nays - apparently, the non-daylight savings alternative is more attuned to human sleeping patterns. |

It's not the one hour I lost last night so much as the hour of daylight I'll be losing every morning for the next six months.

It seems that my wife and I grumble about it equally, every time we go through the ritual. It doesn’t much matter whether it’s spring or autumn.
As the chief clock (and watch) changer in the house, I’d be happy if they’d just pick one and stick with it. After a year or two, we’ll all forget why we preferred the other one.

Plays hell when arranging zoom meetings with my American clients.
We'll just get it asorted then the UK clocks change on March 26th

Yeah, but that just evens out the extra daylight you got in the previous 6 months.

I grew up without daylight savings (1950-1970) and have endured DST ever since. If the powers that be do away with it…or declare permanent daylight savings (spring forward and stay there) or leave the twice-a-year insanity in place, I’m sure they’ll do so without consulting me.
Same as always. Sympathies to all those who must suffer it yet truly hate it. Since I am now retired it’s slightly less annoying than it was during my 52 years of working. Slightly. Cheers, Dirk

Speaking as someone who has flown halfway around the planet and had to flip my clock, it does not come in as one of the more pressing issues facing the world. Climate change. War. Income inequality. Migration. Lots of other more important issues.
That said, I prefer the evenings where the sun lingers after work. I'm not a morning person except at gunpoint.
