Eduardo Fernandez- Spanish Guitar Music CD 1986
I was listening to this today and thought I'd mention it, because the playing
has such aplomb, musicality, and great sense of timing. It's well recorded too, with some extraneous noises to let you know it's real, and very good but not perfect detail. Turina: Homenaje a Tarrega Granados: La Maja de Goya Albeniz: Torre Bermeja (!) - Rumores de la Caleta - Cadiz Torroba: Sonatina Rodrigo: Three Spanish Pieces (his Passacaglia is up there with Bream's) Falla: Le tombeau de Claude Debussy - The Miller's Dance Just great, lyrical, and sometimes electrifying playing from Fernandez on a Paul Fischer guitar. Worth checking out. Don't confuse this with his 'World of the Spanish Guitar' disc, which IMO is not in the same league. https://www.amazon.com/Eduardo-Ferna.../dp/B00000E2XA Adding: the Amazon reviews are mostly not for this disc. I looked for an Allmusic page for it, but could not find a good one.
