A very special 2015 Kinnaird OM in excellent condition.

Top is a premium grade Alpine spruce, back and sides are gorgeous, figured Old Growth Brazilian rosewood. Scale length is 25 1/2", scalloped double X-bracing, and soundport. Cocobolo binding, with some touches of Coco/curly maple purfling. 14 fret guitar with cutaway. Gotoh tuners, Gold Jescar frets, a little bit of Paua abalone here and there, a soundport.

Nut: 1 3/4
Lower bout 15.125 inches
Waist 9.25 inches
Upper bout 11.375 inches
Depth at butt end 4 inches
Depth at heel 3.5 inches
Length 19.5 inches


John Kinnaird has many passionate fans, and I can see why. The tone and craftsmanship of this guitar are of the highest caliber.


An amazingly articulate OM, with a bold, colorful voice. The Brazilian gives it plenty zing and sustain, and the Alpine makes it very responsive, with huge headroom. Even gentle fingerstyle produces big tone, but it superbly handles digging in with a flatpick.


A few minor smudges here and there and a few very small finish bubbles on the bottom of the upper neck.

But I am spared by the long scale and 14 fret neck. Fortunately for the seller, that is what most folks want.

Steve, you are correct! Haha. Although Mike/woody has commissioned a few more than I, I have sold fewer than he has….

This sure has the JK style of traditional with modern touches, and the woods are off the charts!

Beautiful piece of art! What is the nut width and string spacing at the saddle? Can you give some indication of neck shape/thickness? Would love to hear a sound clip of this beauty!

Hi. The nut width is 1.75". I'll need to let you know about string spacing. The neck profile is more Martin than Taylor, if that helps. I'll also post a sound sample. Thanks!
