Late to the party, I've heard of your guitars and work, have family in Orange, and love seeing you posting pics here, David. Great descriptions, love the woods and finish!
Hope to see more.

Thanks for checking in Cat.
I am building 2 guitars this week, an OM/000 of Cherry n' Spruce, and a 00-12-fret of H. Mahogany n' Spruce.

This is the 00-Mahogany on the bench today, back bracing and sides "ring" in the form

David.

Thanks for the kind comment Paul!
The coolest is my current daily player. I can't stand a scratch on a new for-sale guitar, so I pull one out that I can wail on and not worry. It is an L0 of flame Maple and Turkey Spruce, like a 30's Gibson "hardware store" brand, with top binding only. Super light-weight and shellac brush-finished, the curly wood is so tactile, it "rustles" when you rub it.
I was at a house concert, Walt Wilkins and Chris Beall, great acoustic duo, and Chris was playing an old Gretsch with a skinny neck. I'm not a fan of skinny necks, but thought I'd try it on my next L0, just a hair wider than 1-5/8". I've been playing it now for 4 months and grown into it.

Shellac has a great history, source, usability, and durability. Can't get enough of it.
