Tim,
Where did you source the Colorado Blue Spruce?

Hey Tim and Mary.

You two have been busy, sheese.

Have fun at the show. I won't be participating this year and will miss the show. I would like to drop in to see everyone, but it will be highly unlikely that I will be able to make the trip to show up as an attendee this year.

Thanks for showing so much of the process. I really enjoy seeing how you do stuff. It is great that you have Mary to take the action shots for you. I tried to train the dogs on to help with photos, but I am having a tough enough time with getting them to come in the house when I call them. Small steps I guess.

Again thanks for sharing the pics from the shop. The guitars are beautiful.

Default Mosaic inlay

LOL, Tim assured me that those lovely inlays which so many of us enjoy has the effect of keeping him well clear of the nail salons because he NEVER needs a manicure !

Hi McKnights! I look forward to playing this one at Artisan. I can't recall if you has a reEcho guitar in previous years? If not, I will rectify and will make a point to step by!

Do stop by and make sure to check out this re-echo. Tim had previously made one for the guitar show but it was on display here at the McJam two years ago and our AGF brother CigarFan snapped it up before I even knew it was for sale. He will be at the show, I expect. He will be able to tell you about the flame guitar. It was my favorite back and sides. I tend to want to keep guitars because ... just because. That's not always the case for Tim's thinking.

Tim made it for the Artisan guitar show far enough in advance but he took the offer made and only attendees of that McJam saw it first hand. So yes, please do come to our booth. Talk to him and ask questions. His wife only designs the outside. The chief is the in charge of the magical sounds inside.

John O: Tim might prefer dogs over me being in the shop when I am behind his ears getting the unique shot to let you see different angles. I try to give variety so you don't see the same ole same ole. I'm not much for helping you train the dogs but other than the location I'll be more than happy to come over and take pictures for you. I'll put shoes on and start walking. Gimme a year to arrive and all you are required to do is open the door. I'll be the one holding a sign "Will work for food."

Much more to do on the peg head

Where is Dad? Awe, yes. Just as expected. He is burning the midnight oil to work quietly on a guitar. We have discovered it's the luthier thing to do. Someone stopped by to play "I spy Grandpa." He was happy to share the peaceful moment.

Default The Turtle side sound ports

Have the coffee on, John. It's a long walk. I'll bring my own cup. No dishes for you!

The turtle side sound ports have special meaning. They look so cute dancing across the upper and lower bouts

It all begins with cutting the pattern and then tracing the little guys in the direction chosen.

It takes the steady hands of the luthier

Tim protects the raw cuts with a little super glue

Then he sands a little more. I'm not telling on Tim but someone got a bit of super glue on the camera and I wasn't able to get close up shots until I found another available camera.. Well, it's all in a days work.

They look real nice.

The neck - I'm finding pictures were taken and not yet uploaded. These, again, might not be in order but you'll get a good idea of the things that were done and not yet shared.

Putting the fret board on the neck

Mahogany pore filler - for smooth action

The bridge was put on
