Thanks everyone. Much appreciated. And how interesting Paul that that picture should find it’s way to the AGF

Thanks Paul for posting that pic that I probably should have posted. Certainly John is doing an awesome job (as usual) of building a great guitar. Of course I’m looking forward to getting it. This Brazilian fingerboard will be my first one on any guitar that isn’t black and I’m really looking forward to it. Like most of us here on AGF, I’m drawn to pretty figured wood. So when John showed me this piece I jumped all over it. Brazilian binding, the burl and the Honduran all seem to work well together as each brings something out of the other. Thanks again John for making a great guitar, and a fun pastime for me.

The neck is nearly done. I'm letting the lacquer cure before final rub out. It's curly cherry with shading which will bring out the reds and golds in the Honduran rosewood and the tones in the burl rosette

The dark part of the shading has been accentuated in this photo

Make that two of us. One of the many things I like about it is the fact that it adds not only coordinating colors, but additionally it diversifies the look. The front of the guitar isn’t bursted, so to me the bursted neck adds additional interest of a different sort. And I like the Diamond at the heel…nice touch!

Thanks. I like it too. And the cherry lends a sort of Southern Flare being a kind of red neck.

Lucky Mike! John, somehow your work continues to get more beautiful. This is going to be a gorgeous guitar. Very nice Honduran rosewood, not so easy to find. Cheers, Jamie

Default the neck is finished

Just waiting for the body to come back.
I really like the look and action of the Scheller tuners.

Looks like a few screws are still missing.

Thank you Jamie! I'm excited to get it...it's been with Tony for finishing over 2 months now (ouch ), but hopefully back soon. As usual, I believe John has done a nice job with this. I appreciate the nice comments as I know John does as well.
