Do you mean something like a

Wireless mic feeding into a mixer
Wireless guitar feeding into the same mixer

That mixer feeding (wired, probably) into the Amplifier/PA/Powered Speakers/Whatever

Default Update: Wireless Mic system review - second set added

I went to a jam recently where they were using that model of wireless and they seemed to be as high quality as the xVive U3 that I currently use. I have three xVive: two regular, one with phantom power. If I expand any more, I believe I will stick with the xVive, if only for frequency band convenience since I want all the frequency options to coexist nicely.

With the generic Carvin 5.8GHz system, the wireless mics and guitars are completely out of each other’s range, which I like.

I have thought about using wireless like you are for getting the sound from the mixer (EAE D6-68 in my case) to an extension speaker. My only fear would be the small amount of delay in the audio. It could show up as phase cancelation.

Plus, I really don’t mind running cables on things that don’t move at all during the performance.

I have a 5.8gHz guitar system and the Xvive IEM system which don't seem to interfere with each other at all. My mate uses a traditional Senn IEM system which also doesn't conflict.

The WiFi router connected to the mixer, on the other hand, does get flaky when any of these systems are nearby so placement must be carefully managed.

I have my IEM tranitter connected at the stage end of a short multicore which makes it handy for switching on/off and keeps it away from the router, this seems to work well. A mic lead would do the same job.

One think I would recommend is sticking to the brand (or generic type) you start with in order to have the maximum number of channels with no overlap.

You can do one type in the 2.4 GHz range and another in the 5.8 GHz range.

In my case, I have two knockoff Carvin WG5 wireless for guitars in the 5.8 GHz range.

I have three xVive U3 XLR wireless in the 2.4 GHz range. One of these is the version with phantom power, which I use with a shotgun mic for my video work.

I am thinking about adding the xVive US wireless IEM setup with one transmitter and two receivers in order to protect my ear (I only hear on one side) in loud rooms. It will work well with my wireless mic systems on one of the remaining six channels.

The point is that several of the available options are quite good, but you will almost certainly run into cross interference problems if you mix systems within a frequency range.

Stick with one type for the 2.4 GHz range and another for the 5.8 GHz range.

If nothing else I can rock a wireless rig with my Xvive in my guitar, this unit on my mic and everything plugged into my Bose S1. What could go wrong ?
This is exactly what I have. I use my instrument Xvive for my acoustic and the Xvive wireless microphone for the mic. Then, I use the extra Lekato I bought for my Tele.
So now I have two guitars wireless and a wireless microphone.
No cables on the floor and as Methos said, put the amps/speakers anywhere.

I decided to take the plunge - going all wireless.

Joyo Wireless Mic Adapter -

$87.99 on Amazon. (reg $109.99)
Looks like a daily deal. So not sure how long it will last.

That’s the same one I use branded under “Lekato” and it’s a good price.
My partner leeW3 uses one as well. We’ve had them since last summer with no issues. Try not to drop them on hard surfaces.

Nice to see this thread still getting use! I have added an update to the top post detailing an issue I did encounter with interference using two of the Lekato systems at the same time for those that still find these threads and are considering attempting to use multiple systems. No interference with my inexpensive wireless guitar system though!

We have been using our Lekato wireless mic system for over a year and a half with no issues. We played a hundred gigs last year alone and have already booked 150 for this year so the system is getting a workout. I have been using my Wingo wireless guitar system (another inexpensive, no-name brand) for over three years also with no issues including battery degradation. Very pleased.
