I know absolutely zero about nylon string guitars… but I know that is beautiful. Amazing rosette.

A few of Andrea's excellent pics of the 000-42 style B&C (in Cuban mahogany) that's getting a lot closer now. Working with Andrea & Alessio is great fun and a master class in vintage Martin lore. Their attention to detail is incredible, communication is outstanding and their materials stash is hard to believe!
I'm really looking forward to seeing it under finish, particularly since this one will be a shadetop.
I'm also trying not to be too hyped up just yet, but of course that's failing pretty badly....

UPDATE on the 'three'

1. Mike Vanden Octave Mandolin - now completed and with me... can be seen and heard on Mike's website https://vanden.co.uk/mandolins/octave-mandolin/

2. David Whiteman Concert Classical BRW/German Spruce - well advanced with delivery sometime in summer early Autumn (depending on when David gets board of French polishing ;-) )

3. Taran Tirga Beag (TBC) BRW, Sinker Red Wood - due to be kicked off in Sept/Oct so may end up being a 2024 delivery !

Very nice. What are you ordering?

I'm hesitant to make predictions. I'm horrible at those.

An MA-D in two of your least favorite tonewoods (Tunnel 14 redwood with koa back and sides).

Tone is in the fingers. My fingers are lacking something with redwood, mahogany, and koa.

I still own 2 nice basses with a one piece redwood top and a koa top.

I'll never say never. A few possible builds in the next year or two. Will probably get some studio equipment this summer. I also narrowly missed my chance at a Hamer 12 string bass, which stings a little. Might try to order something similar if I can ever locate bridge hardware.
