Saw one at Harbor Freight, so now I'm checking the coupons every week and hoping to get 20% off.

I think it's obvious that it's an automatic thingamigee sort of thing.

Maybe it changes guitar strings?

It's a tool box/work desk combo. I have seen purely functional versions of this before, but this one was obviously created by an individual of massive skill and creativity. Way Cool!!
Yes. Looks like a woodcarver's workstation with all the drawers pulled out. It sure isn't leather with all those rotary dental tools.

My first thought was torture of some kind. Not that I’m into that kind of thing. Maybe it belongs to Dr. No???

The Facebook page of the jewelry making forum, Ganoskin.com, shows this as a "jewelry making workbench". Does not say by who, where or when, though. It looks like it's for much more than 'just' jewelry making but there you have it. Impressive looking contraption!

Thanks Daniel. I have wondered, for quite a while, what this would be used for. I thought it might have been a cobblers workshop/workbench. It looks like a lot of money went into building this so a wealthy jeweler would be more likely the person who paid to have this constructed.

I really appreciate some of the other humorous posts and suggestions as well.

I can cut 2x4s to almost identical lengths and nail them together without smashing my thumb.

Then there's these guys...

Not sure what it is, but the guy who built it was named Rube Goldberg, of that I’m sure😉
