Thanks all, I’m overjoyed with it, Michael really surpassed all expectations. It’s a very sensitive instrument & the projection is insane - by far the loudest guitar I’ve ever played, despite being one of the smallest!
Some background: I took up classical guitar lessons at 7yrs old & it’s always been my first guitar-love. However, when I was finally old enough (working!) to explore graduating from my original humble student guitar, I found classical guitar stores to be quite intimidating. This was far from my experience when commissioning steel string guitars eg via Michael Watts when he was at TNAG, so I shelved the idea. However, through that process I ordered guitars from & befriended Michael Greenfield. A few years ago I had the pleasure of hosting him at our house & he happened to be travelling with his new prototype: a new classical model he’d been researching & working on for some years. This was the first opportunity I’d had to be up close with a classical guitar of this calibre & like other Greenfield instruments, it ‘spoke to me’. I pretty much ordered one on the spot. 4 years later & I’m very happy! Joel |

Nice. Greenfield builds exceptional guitars. This appears/sounds like another example of exceptional. Enjoy your new instrument.

Joel,
That is a lovely tune and the guitar sounds wonderful. I am sure this guitar is truly inspiring and it shows. The harmonics sounds so rich too. Very nice playing and thanks for demoing this for us. I too have been a fan of Michael and his guitars for many many years. I am lucky to say that he is a friend and he has always been so gracious to me. That is a beautiful instrument built by a beautiful guy. Congrats. |

Joel, if Michael hasnt already added you to his list of artists playing Greenfield guitars on his Youtube page or his website, he definitely should - you sound fabulous and showcase his work brilliantly!

Wow! Gorgeous guitar and great playing!
What kind of top is this (Lattice, double top, traditional with 7 fan bracing, etc.)? I was about to learn Julia Florida but got distracted with other pieces, so thanks for reminding me of how beautiful this piece is and the brilliance of Agustin Barrios. |

Excellent, congrats.
Put some of that "rust" in a jar and sell it. Great playing.
