Default Scam? CL listing of a DG-335

Saw a Gibson Dave Grohl 335 listed for just $2K. Given those go $10-15K, it's gotta be a fake, yeah?

Pretty sure this is the Gibson “Inspired by David Grohl” DG-335, which were about $2500. The LE version had a hand signed number, not a stamp, IIRC. So, not a fake, but not likely what you hope it is, IMO.

Are you local? Are you interested? If so, perhaps the best thing to do is to arrange a physical inspection. It could be that the seller (a) has no idea what others of the same model are going for, or (b) has a need to sell it off quickly (family emergency/stolen item, etc.).

I'm leery of Craigslist, but if I have the opportunity to inspect a piece of merchandise before buying, that might sway me. I bought a Behringer Blue Devil GX112 Combo Amp off Craigslist for $35. Maybe not the best or most renowned name on the market, but today they'll still fetch about $150 on the used (Reverb) market.

Check it out. As long as you're willing to walk away...

There's a picture of the included goodies that confirms it's the "inspired by" version.
