Default Setting up a user template in Studio One et.al.

So in another thread (last week) I told the OP I would do a video about setting up a user defined template
This is in the DAW Studio One v 6 But the basic method will be very similar in most versions and DAWs

Please feel free to ask any and all questions about anything in the video. Or the screen shot of my template
Any observations welcome also .

NOTE the video is uploaded to Youtube in 4K resolution, so best viewed in full screen mode and set it to stream in the highest resolution your internet connection will allow. ( set resolution in the little gear icon at bottom of player window)

Also here is a screen shot of the routing in the first template and demonstrates how any template simple or more complex can be ready to record in seconds as opposed to many many minutes to set up.

This is my template for Guitar and Vocals it has ::

8- Audio tracks (in Left and Right pairs) routing into 4 folder tracks (white arrows ).

It has 4 Folder tracks routing ( red arrows) into the main Mix Bus or 2 Bus (labeled "2 Mix" in orange )

It has 4 Sends (light blue arrows) routing into a parallel Reverb FX (bus/aux) track labeled M7 in purple (NOTE both the sends and track are labeled M7) and it also routes to the 2 Mix track

The 2 Mix track routes to the Main Outs 1-2 labeled Stereo Mon

Glad to see that you got S1 working with your Avid Carbon interface. I find S1 Pro impressive, easy to work with and low on bugs.

Even though I have a 4-port audio interface, I find myself using my XR18 digital mixer as my interface, if for no other reason than that I don't have to touch the knobs on the interface and that it keeps my live sound and recording procedures more consistent with each other. I set my S1 templates to be consistent with the settings on the mixer, i.e., the same channel names, colors, etc. Of course, I also use templates on the mixer (called "scenes" and "snapshots") and try to keep the naming consistent with that of my S1 templates.

It eliminates a lot of setup time and guesswork.

Thanks to clarify S1 worked with the Carbon from the get go. It was the fact that for my hardware inserts to work correctly with the Pipeline plugin I had to offset the inputs to outputs in the I/O (about which there was not info on the web in general , or the Presonus Forum and about which Presonus support was apparently unaware)

But yes I agree S1 has some really great features (especially some of the drag and drop and auto route ones)
I like that it finally offers a dual panner option for stereo tracks, although honestly I still find it's panner and send graphics clunky as well as having to use Pipeline for HW inserts.

Yes indeed such organization does IMO make DAW use pretty straight forward , simple, and more logical to comprehend

Although I do realize that having used a DAW for 20 years now I may be over looking some difficulties for people new to the DAW world.

I just reread this, and I'll have to report myself to the Department of Redundancy Department!
