Default Three hour gig in 4 min

As I start to talk to more venues, wanted to give a royal sampler instead of full songs. So took the last gig and did a super cut. Lots of requests and ones I hadn’t done in awhile, fun times.

If i had a venue I’d hire you. But I would have made that decision within the first minute or so of the video, I don’t think you need the full four minutes. You can back it up with other vids of full versions of some songs, and some means of conveying your full song list.

Thanks - I get what you're saying. On my yt channel I have a lot of full versions, and my solo web page has ones as well, along with a full artist/set list. At shows I have lists and a number people can text requests to. On the supercut I figure most people will just click away after they've heard enough but I should do a 59 sec version.

I hate the booking side of things...

central coast of CA. I'm in Lompoc, about 1/3 of the way between LA and SF.

I like your choice of material, for example; Comfortably Numb and Here Comes The Flood (I'd like to see full versions of those).
Good job!

Thanks - it's a pretty eclectic list though admittedly heavy on 70's stuff.

Here is Flood at a different gig. I bonded with this song through his live version when he does solo piano. The original album version doesn't reach me the same.

Me too! Very good, the slide gives it a different feel as well.

Hi Todd,

Wow, what a clever way to provide a sampler! This is really well done!

Wow! That’s such an original arrangement. One of my top five favorite songs from my favorite artist. Super cool to hear it on slide and your take on the vocals. Not many people cover that song, but you did a great job.

If you are ever looking for a stripped down studio version of it, check out the version he does with Robert Fripp on Fripp’s Exposure album, bookended by two very appropriate instrumental Water Music songs.

Thanks for posting. Good fun!

Dave
