Default SOLD Taylor Koa Grand Auditorium 9-string (12-string sound w/6-string effort!)

[/B]Bought this a couple months ago. Brilliant sound, lightweight and a great feel. But I am having trouble going back and forth between this and my two Ric 12-strings. Had to make a choice for my standard recording guitars, so I'm sticking with the Rics. If you've ever wanted a 12-stringer that played easily, this is a great choice. The B, G and D strings are doubled. This accomplishes two main issues: 1. Requires way less grip to play, while getting that sweet 12-string sound and 2. Eliminates those often woofy low overtones that many 12ers have.

This one was hand chosen by my sales rep, the Taylor rep and a local engineer, the latter two just happened to stop in the store during evaluation. They made a great choice. Taylor chose an incredible set of wood for this one. Just wish I was more versatile to play 'em all.

Setup by one of Nashville's finest and strung with Stringjoy strings.

Description:
Custom BTO Grand Auditorium 9-String features flamed Koa back with Shaded Edgeburst Finish. The top is Sitka Spruce. Included ES2 Pickup. 9-String guitars bring a unique hybrid sound with 12 string overtones but with the focus & playability of a 6-string.

Big sound, small effort. If you've ever struggled to play a 12-string, this may be the solution.

Would LOVE to try this out! My favorite, go-to, desert-island guitar is my Martin HD-7, which gives the Roger McGuinn 12 string jangle with the added octave G. I can see this Taylor as being the HD-7 on steroids! GLWS!

A unique guitar like this needs a few sound clips!

Strumming, crosspicking, fingerstyle...

I put together a quick sound sample.

If interested, DM me with your email address and I'll send it along. Do not post a request on the forum, as I am unable to post it here. Thank you.
