It would be nice to get all these 'principled' requirements ahead of time, so those of us who would like to help can ascertain whether it's worth our time or not.

well Gordon...if those principled requirements affect you opinion in a negative way, then it's most likely not worth your time. Why do people believe that everything in this world has to have a pricetag or it's existence is inconceivable. cheers

Everyone doesn't fit your rubber stamp.

I write songs and tunes all the time, but it's just something I've been doing for the last 58 years and I don't care to make a dime from any of it. If someone else would like to use it I'm more than happy for them.

I'm not sure why anyone puts any value on the rest of the world listening to what they have to say. Simply looking at the numbers of uploads on the combined streaming services (Youtube included) pretty much locks in your actual chances of anyone listening.

As I get older I'm investing a bit more time in archiving things as I write them, but there's no particular reason to do it other than as a way for me to remember my own stuff...

By all means, post some of your work here. If you actually have no interest in monetization and you're proud of what you're capable of, then there's no reason to "hide your candle under a bushel".

It can be as simple as this:

..but another sad truth is youtube, and other social media monsters are an animal of which I don't want to share in their victimization. Sadly we live in a political world where lines are drawn for us, not by us. Just trying to be partially true to my beliefs. If I was wholly true....I wouldn't even be online at all. It's a strange world. Thankfully music keeps us grounded.
