From the album "Out of the Blue".The recording features the D'Aquisto Blue Centura Deluxe, played with the plectrum-style technique.
I recorded the whole album in three days last June at Mirabella's Showroom, after and intense month of preparation. I will post more videos in the near future. It was a real honor to play such a wonderful instrument, and even more to know wonderful people of the archtop community! Thanks to the Archtop Foundation for lending me this wonderful guitar, Cristian Mirabella and Patrick Courtney for making this record possible, Rudy's Music for providing amazing stories and a wonderful location for this video and John Monteleone for letting me know about the incredible guitarist Al Valenti (the author of this arrangement). I hope you will like the result of my work and if you'll decide to support it, you'll be able to find the whole album at fabiomittino.com. Cd is coming too, it's on print right now! |

Oh, this is wonderful! Thank you for sharing!
This also provides a great example of the overlap between guitar and banjo techniques. There’s a lot of what plectrum and tenor banjo players refer to as “duo style” here, the tremolo with the moving bass note or chords. |
