Default 2009 Merrill C18 Adi/Mahogany - Price Drop $3950

For sale is a 2009 Merrill C18 (#336). This guitar really captures the vintage Martin vibe with its loud projection and defined mid range, and a more "dry" tone overall. I'd rate it as a clean player's grade instrument. It had an arm rest installed for a short period of time which was removed and left minor blemishes which I was unable to photograph, as they only show under certain reflections/lighting. There's some buckle rash on the back, as pictured and some minor scuffing on the headstock. A K&K is installed, but will need the transducers reconnected to the output. Additionally, a small cleat was installed near the fretboard extension back in 2014, but no crack is visible from the outside.

Setup measures 6.5/64" and 4.5/64" at the 12th fret, and fretwear is relatively minor.

These don't come up often, and there's only one other on the market right now (at Carter's) priced at $6500. I'm asking $3950 net to me, buyer pays shipping. Ships in a generic black hardshell case that's in good shape.

Man that Merrill sounds awesome, and certainly having Eric Wiggs demo it can help bring out its best. Your typical D-18A and similar boutique only wished they sounded this good.

Any guitar that sounds this good, especially a Merrill, deserves to be on the first page of the classifieds.

This is a steal for this guitar. If you want something that sounds a lot like an old D18 but don't want to spend 10 grand this is the move.

About 5 years ago, 2 of these were available at Schoenberg's shop in California. Both were desirable with one in perfect condition. Priced at $3500 and $3750, they didn't last long.

Stellar dreads!

I can't believe it's still there ! I used to own one and it was an excellent guitar - closer to a pre war Martin D18 that any other guitar I tried so far. Only sold because I got the chance to purchase a used Blazer & Henkes HD18.

Come on AGF, don't make me buy this. I love Merrills but I'm willing to share with the forum too...
