I purchased this beautiful Rainsong from a guy who's purchased it this past spring directly from Rainsong. It's a nice guitar with great tone, and the 12 frets make it easy to play. I’ve owned this guitar for 2 months. It has approximately 1 hour playtime. Purchased new directly from Rainsong in Apr 2023. 12 fret 24.9 in scale. Plenty of top and big rich bottom. It’s never been at a music store. Less handling than anything at GC. , or any other music store for that matter. It was purchased for a family member but they prefer a Parlor size guitar. It’s been sitting in its case pretty much since the day it arrived. The guitar is newer than one in a store. Beautiful metallic blue in person.

This RainSong CO-WS1005NSM Carbon Fiber Acoustic Electric Guitar Marine Burst is especially well suited for alternate tunings. The CO-WS1005NSM, like all the other members of the Concert Series, has an all-graphite body and a unidirectional Carbon soundboard. Unique to this model is the offset soundhole and the 12-fret, short scale (24.9”) neck.

Unidirectional Carbon mimics the tight grain of a fine spruce. These soundboards are the lightest built by RainSong - which explains their responsiveness and warm tone.

The neck of the CO-WS1005NSM joins the body at the 12th fret rather than the 14th fret. This moves the bridge back on the soundboard towards the center of the lower bout resulting in improved sonic energy transmission from the strings to the soundboard and enhanced bass response.

The soundhole of the CO-WS1005NSM is located on the player’s side of the upper bout and the proximity to the player’s ear not only produces a sense of increased volume but gives both the player and audience a far more similar experience. The reduced size of the soundhole combined with the uninterrupted larger vibrating surface of the soundboard increases stability and projection.

Like all RainSong's, the CO-WS1005NSM uses Projection Tuned LayeringTM for articulation, warmth, and volume. All-composite construction means a robust instrument that can withstand variations in humidity and temperatures and handle whatever you throw at it with ease.

A LR Baggs Stagepro Element electronics with a built-in tuner makes the CO-WS1005NSM a stage-ready instrument. The CO-WS1005NSM sports an elegant marine burst color high-gloss UV protective polyurethane finish.
