Here I'm getting the fretboard together for the neck:
![]() It is Snakewood with Black Ebony Binding and flamed Maple purfling ![]() The Maple purfling is in the binding and here as a final touch I'm adding a purfling line under the fretboard as well: ![]() Thanks for following along! m

With the body closed up I can get going on the trim:
![]() Installing binding is mostly about doing miters. An extremely sharp and polished chisel works a charm for that: ![]() ![]() Then it's wrap it up and put it to bed: ![]() m

I'm gluing Black Ebony onto the arm and finger bevels:
![]() See the plastic purfling line going all around the top? These strips are place holders for the purfling I previously cut: ![]() Fortunately the glue doesn't really stick to these plastic strips so I can just pull them out: ![]() To prepare these delicate purfling lines I pre-bend them so I don't need to crack them to get them in: ![]() Now I'm ready to start! m

Here are a couple of pictures of the top with the Blue Stain Pine purfling in and mostly cleaned up:
![]() ![]() Just a reminder and for anyone just joining, Blue Stain Pine is natural wood that I find in my woods. Although some make stain from Blue Stain Pine this wood is as found and not stained or colored in any way. M

Sorry, that is purfling. The auto correct function is not always a good thing if you are not paying attention
