Here's a very nice, great sounding example of a '33 0-17 that is perfectly set up and plays like a dream. Built with an ebony truss rod, this little jewel is extrememly lightweight and responsive. She's been completely brought up to speed and needs nothing. The finish is almost completely original except for a small place on top where a long crack was repaired. The crack goes from below the bridge to mid way up the soundhole. No cleats, but very well done and tight. See pics. They show it well. In the area of the crack between the bridge and the soundhole, there appears to be some finsh applied. But it's spotty; not consistent at all. I've tried naptha and soap/water on the area, but neither touch it. I have made two videos. One is a thorough description and a little playing. The other is the black light on this area in a completely dark room. I'll be happy to send either or both of these to you. Just PM me your email address, and I'll get them out to you. I think both will help clarify everything.
All interior bracing and bridge plate original and intact. Bar frets show very little wear so they must have been attended to recently and probably several times before over the years. 1 3/4" ebony nut is probably original. Brazilian fretboard is in great shape with zero spooning anywhere. I believe the bridge to be original and full height with a new bone saddle done at the time of the neck set, I'm sure, with excellent break angle. Geometry looks perfect to me on this one. Antique Acoustics ebony unslotted bridge pins and end pin except for the treble 'E' pin which has a slightly larger diameter. That hole must have been reamed out a touch at one time as the other pins fit perfectly. Original pick guard is secure and not lifting anywhere. Original tuners work great and hold tune as they should. Comes in a new Original Case Company case. These are what the guys at Pre War Guitar now use. Fit's this guitar like a glove. Finally, she comes with one more piece of non-original equipment: a rattlesnake tale was in there when she came to me. I have no idea, of course, how long it's been in the guitar, but I know for sure that it needs to stay with it. Quite a bonus, don't you think? Price is $4,750.00 shipped and insured. I will consider trades of equal or lesser value with cash my way. Not interested in trading up and putting out any cash. Write with questions, requests for videos, or additional photos, and I'll get back with you promptly. See pics here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/185530...77720311590421. Very cool guitar for a very cool price, man.
Of course, I’m biased. Love love love my own 0-17 and feel so fortunate to have found it. I’ve dealt with the OP. Honest, transparent, a true believer in good vibes. Five-star review.

Thank you, sir. These little 0-17 models from this era are incredibly special. Nothing else out there quite like them.

I've had a couple of serious inquiries but, so far, she still is here. I have a feeling that's not going to be the case for long.

I will now consider trades of equal or lesser value with cash my way. Not interested in trading up and putting out any cash. Might be a good way for someone to get into a great pre war Martin.
