Default New piece- "...I Was a Seed"

Little bit reluctant to post this here, especially given the difficult relationship the subject matter has always had with the USA, but I make no apology for writing a piece about a remarkable musician whose influence on my music is profound.

A kind of waltz, in Dadgad, and played on a Brook Lamorna (OM sized guitar) that I am borrowing. It is very quirky, and I have been juggling with ideas all week. Apologies for some extraneious noise, as I explain in my youtube notes. However, I couldn't get any better than this 2nd take

Edit: Please see new version linked below

Thank you both TBman, thank for for your original comments which, I presume, the mods in their infinite wisdom got you to remove. I knew this piece would be quite controversial. Guess for some they will never forgive this fine woman for what she did

Thank you both.

I have to admit this piece is causing me issues, and I have slightly edited it since, especially the transitions between the sections. That tapping section in the middle has received a significant edit, but I still don't know whether it adds anything. I've kind of given up on it now- sometimes its good to come back to things after a significant period of time.

I have been working on this a little more, significantly rewriting some sections. This is now a version I am happy with:

Pretty opening and ending melody lines and harmonies. Heartfelt playing.

Thank you Tom and Derek. I am glad the emotion in the piece comes through. It was touch and go as to whether I was going to abandon this piece, but some kind words from a few people (and a colleague who kept playing it to his computer science classes to calm them down (!) ) encourages me to rewrite it and produce something that I think now is a little more effective
