Default Input jack falls into Hollowbody guitar?

A loose input jack fell to the ground, jack dropped into the hollowbody. How do you fish it out, and stabilize to Re-connect? Any help appreciated. The guitar is an electric Sire HV 7, new.

Ooooh that's gonna be a fun one.. Ya might try using a wire or a straightened out wire coat hanger. fish out the jack through one of the sound holes, then pull a string through the jack hole to the sound hole. I have a Teisco Del Rey. Happened several times..

Depending on how deep the hollowbody guitar is, you typically get to electronics through the F holes or pickup cavity and use a combination of string or fish tank tubing to guide things like pots and switches into position, and a long wooden dowel to help guide the output jack into position. Tape off the f holes to avoid scratching.

Lots of swearing is recommended, but optional.

Well, ( and thanks for suggestions) I wish I was a Fisherman. I got the input switch up to the hole, secured by a shoestring, but I don't know how to turn the pole side outward 180 degrees, to go thru the hole?? I actually ordered a long needle nose pliers, if I can somehow invert the switch. 60 yrs. of playing, this is a first.

Have you tried a 1/4" dowel or a chopstick inserted into your output jack? Then pull it back to the hole?

I recently put a K&K in a mandolin. Small F holes. There was a small hole in the end of the threaded portion of the output jack that goes under the strap button, I hooked a piece of utility wire through that and pulled through.

Thank you Fathand. I will definitely try the chopstick. Frustrating job.
