Are all 12-string CF guitars now discontinued?

Is anyone still making a Carbon Fiber 12-string?

Rainsong = Discontinued
CA = Discontinued.

Love to have a 12-string to go along with my Shorty.

Alistair at Emerald will make a 12 string for you. In fact the next guitar I intend to get when I save up enough money is an X-20 12 string version to go with my X-20 6 string version.

Rumor has it that one of the other manufacturers is planning to release a new 12 string soon, but I can't speak to the details.

What other manufacturers are there?? We got Rainsong, CA and the two smaller guys Blackbird and Emerald who will build you whatever you want. So what you got for us?

Emerald definitely makes 12-string guitars.I've got an X20OS 12-string that is just about complete. Check out the emerald Facebook page:

There have been multiple 12-string references recently.

If you look at their custom options page (this is for the X10), 12-string is listed for 350 Euros.

Emerald doesn't list 12 strings separately because they will make ALL of their guitars as 12 string--if you request. They are at the other end of the spectrum from the other makers, at this point.

Want 1 3/4 12 string neck? They'll do it. 1 7/8 12 string neck? They'll do it. 2 inch neck? No problem.

Emerald simply has a different approach to building CF guitars and no one has come close to their flexibility yet.

I got nothing except a rumor I heard in passing when I griped this past summer about no stock 12 string CF guitars anymore. Seems I overheard there may be a new offering within the year by one of the current CF manufacturers. It's just a rumor and probably not worth what you paid for it.

1-7/8 is about perfect on a 12. Anyone know what Emerald's fretboard radius is? Couldn't find it in their specs.

Normally, I think it is 16" as on my X7-OS.

It is very, very likely he can make any radius you want if you do not want 16".

My Taylor is 15", my Larrivee is 17. I tend to prefer flatter. Tight like an Ovation is hard to play.

16" would match a Martin or Breedlove and the both make easy to play 12s.

Also, just sold my Guild D-4-12 this afternoon, so I have another $600 to put into the Carbon Fiber 12-string fund.
