What angle do you bevel the fret ends? and why
On my personal set ups, I like to get a little more usuable crown by bevelling the fret ends 30 deg. in from the sides of the neck.
I've noticed the convention on many production guitars is to have a much steeper angle, 45 degrees or maybe even a little more. I feel my fret ends more, but they're not in any way uncomfortable to me. |

About 20 degrees. When they are suitable relieved of their sharp edges this is enough. It maximizes the playing surface, allowing the nut string spacing to be slightly wider.

35 degrees...
...this looks right from an aesthetic point of view, but I can see the advantage of using a steeper bevel to get a little more playable neck width.
