New to me guitar!
My guitar finally came in. It's a Yamaha Storia III. Solid mahogany top with mahogany laminated back and sides. The previous owner changed out the bridge pins and put a pick guard on it, both of which I like. I have changed the strings to 12 gauge 80/20 polyweb Elixers, but I believe I'm going to switch to the John Pearse phosphor bronze and silk lights. The 12's are just a little to rough on my fingers.
I like the sound of the guitar. It's a concert size so I was afraid it would sound small or tinny, but it doesn't. I have the original brass bridge pins, but I have not tried them. I have ordered a Graph Tech tusq saddle for it. If that makes it even better, then great, but it really doesn't sound like it needs it.
I have not plugged it in yet as I do not currently have an amp. That may be next on my wishlist.

Nice Yamaha! Congrats and enjoy.
The inside looks interesting...is it stained or finished?

Before you install the PB strings, check out a Martin Retro Monel MM12 set: "slinkier" and looser-feeling than phosphor bronze/80-20, and they really bring out the "wood" in an all-mahogany guitar - FYI they're the go-to here for hog-top guitars...

They say it is screen painted and the Storia label is embossed.

I believe I have the Martin retro monel 11's on my FG700. I do like those.

Chas - Congrats on your Storia III! I'm not familiar with that model so I had to google it. Lots of great reviews. Enjoy.
