Ryobi powered driver and Dunlop winder bit for my six strings, and looking for a bit that will work on my Taylor 12-string (the tuners being too close together for the Dunlop winder).

There are some relatively cheap plastic manual winders like this Stewmac pictured that have a removable cup with fitting for powered screwdriver.

I lined the cup of mine with some of the 'soft' side of self adhesive velcro.

Works perfectly on all my guitars - including 12-strings.

Here's an Ebay listing for one too; https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Red-Guit...r/332712575959

I use the music nomad bit with a black and decker electric screwdriver. I used to use a manual one and put off changing strings and now I don't. I can do it in less than 10 minutes now. Never left a mark.

One of the three sizes of Frank's Cranks would most likely fit the bill for your Taylor 12. A manual winder would sure be better than using the fingertips when it comes to those closely spaced 12 string tuners!

I use a Black and Decker rechargeable cordless screwdriver on less expensive guitars, and a hand winder on more expensive stuff to avoid marking up the headstock, which I've never done either way, so far!

I’ve been using the Ernie Ball Power Peg Pro for several years now and I really appreciate the time that it saves me.
I really like some of higher end peg turners that some of the folks mentioned. They are artistic and classy looking. But after some contemplation I decided to give the POWER PEG PRO a spin. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery and included power adaptor is what put me over the edge.

Time to change the strings on most all my guitars.

I have a small battery powered screwdriver with an attachment on the end. I don’t think it’s powerful enough to do any damage. I’ve had it for about 3 years and never changed the batteries.

I use a Ryobi cordless screwdriver with a winder bit. It has 2 speeds plus a reverse. Lithium Ion battery for long lasting charge. You do have to be careful in high speed that you don't screw up your tuner pegs (I broke a molded tuner peg on high speed with angle not straight up and down).

It's a big time saver when you have 15 plus guitars.

To each his own, I don't personally have tons of time to change strings on my guitars. Nothing against the retired people out there!!

Wondering if you use an electric device to change your strings or are you old school and use a manual peg winder. If you use a power tool which one and are you happy with it

I had an electric peg winder but found it to be slower then a manual peg winder and after a few string changes it stopped working.

Or perhaps you Use your hands
I don’t trust them.
